Nigori style sake is coarsely filtered to allow flavorful and aromatic sediments to remain, creating a creamy cloudy beverage.
Hakutsuru is located in the famed Nada district of Kobe, a leading sake production area. The name Hakutsuru means “white crane”. The crane’s reserved character and graceful appearance along with the cultural association of seeing a crane in flight as an auspicious sign, makes the crane an ideal symbol to represent the excellent quality of Hakutsuru’s sake.
Sayuri means “little lily” in Japanese and the name is apt for this soft, floral noted nigori. Hints of white grape and elements of cherry blossom tie in seamlessly to create a lush, creamy sake with a deliciously smooth finish.
Pair with spicy food and desserts such as chocolate.
