Kanpai Japan is a month-long introduction and celebration of Japanese food and drink culture organized by the Center for Japanese Studies at Portland State University, in collaboration with partner organizations across the city. It includes events ranging from ticketed dinners to free academic lectures and open houses.
The kick-off reception, set in Portland Japanese Garden, features an evening of Japanese delicacies and beverages that showcase the area’s vibrant Japanese food culture. Bamboo Sushi, Joto Sake, Kuze Fuku & Sons, SakéOne, and Zupan’s Markets will offer food and drinks as part of this exciting culinary experience.
