Naginata

Tasting Notes

Our goal with Naginata is simple – to craft the best sake brewed outside of Japan, period. This uncompromising sake is crafted by brewmaster Takumi Kuwabara in our Oregon Kura using Yamada Nishiki rice grown in Arkansas and milled to 40%. It’s a Junmai Daiginjo possessing bright, fruity aromas of blueberry, banana, and grape balanced by subtle dryness and flavors of Fuji apple, melon, and guava. It’s elegant, complex, and represents our best-of-the-best expression of what is possible in American sake making.

Pairs With

Salmon or hamachi sushi/sashimi, fried chicken, and cheeseburgers. Or, enjoy on its own.
