Sashiko Class

Do you know what Sashiko is?

Sashiko is Japanese hand embroidery, that offers longevity and strengthening of everyday clothing. This skill was used during the Edo period in farmer and fishing communities. In this class you will be given the tools and beginners skills to learn sashiko stitches and create a decorative embroidery hoop for your home. Many sashiko designs are created on fabric for home decor, and we hope you will use this skill for your own clothing and embellishment projects!

Now that you know what it is, come join us and create your own sashiko masterpiece! We will provide all of the supplies and make sure you have a glass of OR Craft saké or a saké cocktail in hand to sip.
