SakeOne's Valentine's Weekend

09 February 2013
(11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. )

Sinful Sip – A Pre-Valentine’s Day Event

Looking for a unique, decadent treat for your special someone this Valentine’s Day? Why not start celebrating the weekend before at SakéOne?!

Join us Saturday, February 9th and Sunday, February 10th in our Forest Grove Kura as we bring you four Guilty Pleasures – Papa Haydn desserts and America's Premium Saké!  You will feel truly sinful as we take you on a journey of discovery by pairing Oregon Craft Saké brewed right here in Forest Grove with luscious sweets from one of Portland’s culinary landmarks.

Saké is not just for Japanese food and definitely not for dropping in beer. But for dessert, you ask? YES! From sweet to dry, crisp to creamy, ethereal to full-bodied, sake’s variety of flavors and styles opens a whole world of opportunities for pairing with a broad range of foods – including dessert!

Papa Haydn East

The fall of 1978 saw the opening of a small cafe on the Westmoreland end of Milwaukie Avenue that would have a profound impact on the way Portland looked at dining, and in particular, desserts. Papa Haydn was home to Portland's first espresso machine, and the lines of hungry diners were legendary.

 Papa Haydn West

In 1983, when Northwest 23rd Avenue and the surrounding neighborhood was little more than a hodgepodge of thrift stores, laundromats, and run-down Victorians, the second Papa Haydn location opened its doors on the corner of 23rd and Irving.

Join us for a sinfully delicious weekend of indulgence with that someone special as we take a gastronomic tour of Papa Haydn and America's Premium Saké from SakéOne!
